who are we
Hi there! My name is Heidi Biggin and I am the founder of HB Accessibility Consulting. I have lived in Ballarat my whole life and am an active member of our community with my husband Bryce and our three young children that keep us on our toes! We love exploring Victoria and supporting local initiatives and events.
I also have another special family member in Freya – my amazing sidekick and Registered Guide Dog Australia, seeing eye dog.
Freya is a purebred black Labrador that has had intensive training in mobility, directional support and obedience and helps me every day.
I acquired disability unexpectedly in 2010 and without warning I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder that sometimes effects my speech, balance and left me permanently legally blind.
I use Freya as my mobility aid as well as a white cane (when she rolls in mud and needs to get groomed!)
